Please don't buy diamonds or baubles of gold, Fancy new trinkets that some day grow old When so many people sleep out in the cold - Do a good deed for Christmas.
The holiday rush makes you dread every Fall, Commercialism has tainted it all. Remember - you don't have to go to the mall - Enjoy a good deed this Christmas.
The best gift for me, you won't find in a store: Visit the elderly, work with the poor. Your favorite charity? Give even more To millions in need this Christmas.
The smallest donation will still plant a seed Enabling others the aimless to lead, Homeless to shelter and hungry to feed. How can I be greedy at Christmas?
A Christmas card's all you need send my way Just tuck in a note so that you can say "While I was thinking of you today, I did a good deed for Christmas."
I'll drop you a line telling you what I've done To share, in your name, with those who have none As we celebrate the gift of God's Son - Remember His deed each Christmas.
